  Expanding
NewsSo now that we've actually made our first release we've been expanding ourselves and making a few changes to the website and such. There's only a certain number of links i can put up on the sub-header (the links bar at the top) before it tries to start a second row-this means I have to be conservative with the number of links up there as well as how many letters and such are in their descriptions. Hence "YouTube Channel" becomes "YouTube".

I've also gotten rid of the discussion threads link from the sub-header and simply used the general links that will take you to all our link categories-including the links to the NIN.com video and photo galleries. A lot of the link that disappeared from the sub-header are however still available in the regular navigation panel so if you want a quick link to a specific part of the site that's where to look.

Speaking of which, the navigation panel has been expanded and re-organized and it's hopefully easier to use now and again it contains quick links to places that won't fit on the sub-header links bar.

With the release, we now have THREE FAQs instead of just one. One for the project in general, one for the release of our first DVD, and one regarding our Alternate Reality Game. New questions may be added as we think of them, and feel free to ask us anything that's not covered in any of our facts via our contact form or Twitter.

We've also got a Facebook group set up as you can probably see. It's another nice way for us to connect with the fan community.

The built-in player for the NIN show is also in the sub-header links. It may be preferred over watching it directly on YouTube since from my experience when you watch a Playlist directly on YouTube it tends to exit from full screen mode between videos-our built-in player does not do this, although if you accidentally bump your mouse while watching you will find there's a lot more clutter in the interface-but in my opinion the benefits outweigh the faults.

We've also got a merch store set up on Cafe Press-and you'll notice a fancy disclaimer page explaining how we aren't making any profit from it. As thanks with putting up with our little disclaimer page, we've included some fun images of "fake merchandise" inspired by a certain movie directed by Mel Brooks. ;)

So that about wraps it up for this update. Be sure to download our DVD if you haven't already from our downloads section. Details on physical distribution will hopefully be forthcoming.

P.S. Be sure to check out the "Showcase" article posted by Thisoneisonus
here!!

P.P.S. We've just added an "Add This" button which allows you to share our news articles with sites/services such as Digg, Facebook, MySpace, Twitter, Delicious, StumbleUpon, and more! If you've been following our Twitter you're probably up to date on all the trouble we had getting it installed into this website, so please make use of it!

If you'd like to Digg our release article specifically, it might be best to use this link for the specific article I set up. I don't know if Digg keeps track of links and will automatically direct you to "Digg" the article I submitted or not. If anyone could tell me how it works that'd be great. lol

  The Release!
NewsIt's finally happened! The first DVD of the NIN|JA KC DVD Project Your World On Fire featuring Nine Inch Nails' performance is LIVE! You can view it on YouTube or download one of our torrents.

Feel free to watch that movie with sparkly vampires you just picked up while waiting for it to finish downloading. :p

Of course, this first release is not the end of things. You can also look forward to two other discs featuring bonus materials as well as the sets by Street Sweeper Social Club and Jane's Addiction. News on the physical release of the first DVD will be posted as soon as it's sorted out.

Edit: It appears that the YouTube version may have some serious syncing issues. The DVD and iPod versions are totally okay-I've confirmed this myself. I'm having our editor look into this and if it is an actual problem and not just something happening on my end he'll try to fix it for us-we probably need to merge a couple of songs together anyway so it's probably a good thing.

Can you Digg it?!

  Teaser Released!
NewsThe release of the DVD is coming VERY soon. How soon? Well, it wouldn't be so fun for us to tell you directly so we've put together a Year Zero-themed Alternate Reality Game who's clues will eventually lead you to an answer-oh, and over 50MB of digital goodies!!

The game starts, here, with our teaser trailer that, like a good teaser, shows you absolutely nothing from the DVD feature itself (although you get a sample of the Menu drone track). Of course, playing the ARG will get you more than any mere teaser will show you. ;)

I'll only tell you this: There's a reason we want you to watch it in HD-it's mainly so you won't have to squint as much. :p

Edit: I should also note that I'd considered adding some tags to the teaser like "UFO" ,"Mystery", etc.-but figured that although it might get the video some extra attention it'd probably be mostly people calling it fake (which it obviously IS lol), and who knows how many of those people would actually be NIN fans actually interested in the project.

Oh yes, and our editor is going to start work on Jane's Addiction soon (that may be our second disc with the bonus materials saved for last). The problem is he's only got about two angles covering the entire show (with one very partial). We're hoping that any attention garnered from our first release will attract some people to submit footage from the SSSC and/or Jane's sets to make our future releases even better!

Also note that we can still use additional Nine Inch Nails footage as well for a possible recut of the main feature.

Note: The link in the YouTube description may be incorrect-I think I edited it at some point but YouTube has been really weird about changing details and descriptions lately so if it' still wrong it probably can't be fixed that easily. I'll go ahead and post the link to the start of the mini-ARG here as well:
