A Gift That Keeps On Giving

As many of you already probably know by now, Thisoneisonus has finally released "The Gift" portion of Another Version of the Truth. If this is actually news to you, you can check it out through here: thisoneisonus.org

I still haven't managed to sit through the whole thing-I'm kinda wanting to wait until I can watch the whole thing on our big screen television in the living room. I'm considering taking my laptop out there and hooking it up to the TV through HDMI so I can watch it in full 1080p HD. It'll just have to do until someone volunteers to send me a Blu Ray copy (hint hint to anyone who has a Blu Ray burner).

I personally put together this little "holiday thank you card" which I tweeted to both Thisoneisonus and Trent Reznor, I hope that it also gets forwarded to most if not all of the other people involved in making this thing happen:
Thanks so much!

In project-related news I've decided to switch the default theme to our latest revision-which also reflects the new title for our NIN portion of the DVD project.

Also, I'm going to try to put together some tutorial explaining how to stream the "Playstation 3" version of The Gift to both your PS3 AND XBox 360. :D

Emphasis on try.

The tutorial will likely involve this handy application: PS3 Media Server

However, it may turn out to be so accessible and user-friendly that only my mere recommendation of it will suffice. lol

  Site Reboot
NewsDue to issues with a forgotten admin password, I had to uninstall and reinstall the CMS and that means a couple things:

-Everyone who was signed up for the site will have to sign up again. But only if they want to, You can now make comments without needing an account-and we don't have anything set up (yet) with user accounts for distributing DVDs. If anything, it may involve a completely separate database unattached to the regular website user accounts.

-A number of things that were up on the site before (all the news items, articles, downloads, etc.) are gone. The biggest loss is the "Fire-ize Effect Tutorial" which I may have to put together all over again from scratch since like an idiot I din't think to back up the html code from that post so I could just copy and paste it out of a notepad document to restore it. Doh!

The good news is we now have an integrated Twitter Feed, albeit a rather simple one-but it was hard as hell to actually find one that used php instead of Javascript (Fusion apparently doesn't support that type of thing for panels-although there could be a way around that I'm not sure).

The Twitter feed replaces the shout box we had before which not many people used anyway-I could have included both but again it wasn't used very much and we're trying to "streamline" the site right now-I'll be disabling the link to the Discussion Forum as well and replacing it like I had before the reboot with a link to a page with links to our various discussion forums on Nine Inch Nails message boards with a larger user base to begin with.

Look forward to a new default theme for our website that doesn't look like its got orange-colored shit smeared all over it. Our editor has some experience with web design and CSS which I for the most part lack. However, he needs a little time to get the hang of how to put themes together for Fusion first.

So we're still in the process of getting everything back to normal/better than normal so hang tight. Also, it seems our editor has received the footage from Ascension today and is getting it all sorted out. :D
